Plitvice-black fairy queens lakes of generosity:
Long time ago in the land where today are Plitvice lakes there was not a lot of water. In some time water totaly dissapeard so during nine years the whole eria turned into dry land. One day came the Black fairy queen from Velebit mountain her fairy land. When she saw this dry land she made whishes of the willagers come true and called the water to come. That is how the Plitvice lakes were made.

She signifies fertility, therefore in the nation's tradition stands the belief that storks bring children into the life. Croatian lenguage has a lot of words that are closely involved with word Rod/Roda.
