Mythycal and mighty mountain Velebit

 

This is a jurney on mighty Velebit which has always been a sacred mountain its inhabitants, Liburni first, and then the old Slavs who worshiped here the supreme sun god Svevid and unpredictable windy god Stribor.

 

This mountain area keeps secrets of excellent local cuisine and authentic wine drop.

 

Morning greetings with freshly homemade bread and hot healing tea, then we are leaving beloved Zagreb with our joyfull van.

 

Check-in Ogulin, home town of Ivana Brlić Mažuranić, one which local believes poured into the best Croatian fairy tales. Careful approach to Julia's abbys which is connected with romantic and sad love legend.

 

Visit to family farm Konaci in Drežnica. Enjoying the venison stew and for amusment digestion the fabulous guide will tell you a stories about domestic house spirits.

 

Uprise to an adorable lookout, called Oči Vinodola (Eyes of Wine-valley). After filling our hearts with sight,we will tease our legs with easy walk to picturesque glass chapel which is built by Peter Krpan (pay attention to the name). Then, returning to ourselves by stepping into Celestian Labyrinths.

 

Our path follow gentle landscape to the wine basement Pavlomir. Autochthonous Žlahtina and other wines wait just to seduce us with their wet drops.

 

Downhill to Cesarica near Karlobag. Overnight in apartments Ana-Marija accompanied with beautiful terrace, first row to the sea! Breakfast with breathtaking views of the sea and the island of Pag with stories about Seers.

 

Visiting one of the most beautiful and interesting cove. ex canyon called Zavratnica.

Going to Senj into  excellent museum, forth of fameous pirates Uskoci. 

Returning to Zagreb with storys about gods of slavic mitology : Svarun, Perun, Svanimir, Tat...
